The India Association of Minnesota represents people with an interest in the culture and heritage of India to build a sense of cohesiveness within this community, represent the community to the population at large, and serve as the focal point for advancing the education, cultural, and charitable interests of the community. India being a land of diverse cultures, the Indian community here is a microcosm of the same great land is a plethora of cultures, traditions, customs and languages. Although most of the ethnic, religious and language groups have their own associations and clubs, there is no representative body for the Indian community as a whole. IAM seeks to fill this void and take up the responsibility of representing the Indian community as a whole, to the society at large, with the help and support of the various ethnic groups. IAM also serves as the link between these groups.
